Tucked away in northern India, Ladakh or 'Little Tibet' is one of the great adventure travel destinations.
Due to Leh's high altitude we spend the early days of this active itinerary acclimatising by exploring the colourful bazaar and visiting Shey and Tikse monasteries. We then take to our bikes, cycling around the Leh Valley exploring the old Royal Palace and Peace Pagoda.
After rafting the mighty Indus River, we commence our three day trek. the walking is relatively easy but provides spectacular views as we pass through mountain villages, gaining a glimpse into the Ladakhi way of life.
We have three nights in traditional Ladakhi villages and visit the Royal Palace before ending the trip with a spectacular flight over the Himalaya to Delhi.

Our experience of ‘Incredible India’ begins in Delhi, where we discover back streets, bazaars, forts, mosques, and grand colonial buildings. We then fly across the plains and right over the Himalaya to Ladakh. The capital, Leh, is dominated by a huge palace, and immediately it is obvious you are in a land more akin to Tibet than India. We will explore massive ancient monasteries, trek for six days through pretty villages and enjoy rafting, mountain biking. A night spent with a local family and a visit to a school will provide a real taste of Ladakhi life.
